Ten Hag finally has no more worries about his star defender following his return to full fitness.

There were cold chills that swept all across the away stand during Manchester United's away game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in what was a very tough game when their star player lay on the ground, as tears rolled down his eyes. It was a tough sight to watch as he was subbed off by Erik Ten Hag.

Erik Ten Hag couldn’t believe his eyes as well while he was watching from the sideline, as it feel like all of United's hope and goals had been shattered beyond repairs following an injury to their favorite center-back during the game which ended 1-1 courtesy of Casemiro's late equalizer to help United get a point.

Raphael Varane was ultimately ruled out for about five weeks, which saw him miss the rest of United’s games before the club season was halted for the commencement of the 2022-FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Varane, fortunately, returned in time to make France's World Cup squad.

The Frenchman's return to the regular match squad has been a huge delight for Erik Ten Hag who is closely monitoring his progress within the France national team. Varane has majorly been paired alongside summer signing Lisandro Martinez at the heart of United's defense.

WHAT'S THE LATEST ON VARANE?

Initially, Didier Deschamps sort to avoid any risk with Varane's return to full fitness in France's opener at the World Cup but has started giving him more minutes since the second group stage match. The Frenchman has been looking sharp from his appearance so far and has finally quelled all the worries that Ten Hag has as he plans for December resumption.
