Manchester United have suffered several problems at the beginning of the season, as well as the poor performance, they have also suffered from several injuries that have greatly depleted the squad, so the coach has to look for alternatives that can meet the expectations, while waiting for the recovery of their first team players, for that reason there has been talk that the club could sign at least a couple of reinforcements.

One of the positions that has been most needed is the offensive part, since the beginning of the summer Erik Ten Hag had the mission to be able to sign a striker that could solve all the offensive problems that had arisen since last season; as we know many names were as possibilities, but nothing could materialize in a concrete way, until the end of July that the club could sign their striker.

Rasmus Hojlund arrived at Old Trafford in the penultimate game of pre-season, with the hope that his youth and potential would be the answer to Ten Hag's need for a much improved attack, but the Danish striker has been unable to make his debut for the club since he was signed, due to an injury that has kept him out of action.

Although he has been seen training at the Carrington facility, the player will not see action for another two weeks or so, as a lower back injury caused by overwork has set alarm bells ringing for the manager, as according to team doctors, he could re-injure himself during the season.

A new striker for United

Recently it was reported that Kolo Muani had received an offer from Manchester United, long before signing the striker they have at the moment, however, Frankfurt decided to reject it, so from that moment any possibility of signing the Frenchman ended; but now Ten Hag is planning to sign a new striker, as Ivan Toney of Brentford, could arrive at the Red Devils for the January transfer window.
