As the game at Old Trafford took a momentary break for a throw-in, the entire Old Trafford ground had their eyes on the return of one of their biggest stars who has been unavailable since last October. Sancho was all geared up to have his cameo in the Carabao Cup semifinal second-leg tie.
The Red Devils have cruised to a solid 3-0 win in the first leg of the game away at Forest, about a week ago, which Jadon Sancho played no part of and wasn't on the bench either. The 22-year-old winger was still putting the finishing touches to his training as he bid his return.

Ten Hag expresses guilt over a major setback before tonight's game
Sancho looked to be in his liveliest self as he got ready to be subbed on to replace Antony Santos, who had a decent game once again. It was a surely expected substitution after Erik Ten Hag promised fans of Jadon Sancho's return late tonight.
The whole of Old Trafford was full of claps and the loudest cheers so the night when Jadon Sancho came on for Antony in the 63rd minute. It was a beautiful moment for Sancho as he was overwhelmed by the massive reception of his return. The Red Devils won the second-leg tie 2-0 with goals from Anthony Martial and Fred to book their place in the final.
In October, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag noticed a drop in Sancho's performance before his injury and sent him on specialized training during the World Cup break. The England winger returned in January and only recently completed his entire training. Ten Hag and the backroom staffs are reportedly delighted with his progress since his return and have now thrown him back into matchday activities.
