With the Portuguese star's formal exit from the club, it marks United's statement to support the Ten Hag philosophy to its fullest potential as they are getting set to offer his replacement a salary boost and as well as a more important role in the team when the league resumes in December.

18-year-old Alejandro Garnacho has been touted as the rightful heir to Ronaldo's throne at United following his blistering rise to the first team. The youngster has fondly mentioned how much he loved learning from the Portuguese legend and tries to emulate him now and beyond.

Garnacho has marked the start of his era at United with the Player of the Month award for November with four-goal contributions from four appearances.
