Nobody loves this opponent more than Cristiano Ronaldo, not even Manchester United.

When Manchester United failed to take the top spot in their Europa League group, it was only expected that they would be facing one of the UEFA champions league dropout teams. A draw against a big team in the European competition was well within possible as several of them were knocked into Europa.

This might just be the best news for Cristiano Ronaldo, as Manchester United is set to face one of the most decorated teams in European football, FC Barcelona in their next round in the Europa League following the latest draw. A fixture that Ronaldo loves against a very familiar opponent.

Will not consider him captain of the team, has his reasons for not trusting him

This is why he got it wrong, he couldn't recover from his mistake

Ronaldo faced Barcelona several times in the famous El Clasico games during his time at Real Madrid and was a persistent thorn to them both. He has played against Barcelona 34 times across all competitions and has scored 20 times and provided 3 assists.

The Red Devils star is famous for his dazzling thunderbolts and tricks that have been a source of heartache for the Blaugrana fans, with his match-winning displays. The latest fixture presents a huge opportunity for Ronaldo to remind his familiar foes of his ever-present quality in front of the goal.

HOW EXCITED IS RONALDO FOR THIS DRAW?

The Portuguese star might have had a shaky start to the season so far, but it will be ridiculous to count him out of giving a match-winning display when the Red Devils play FC Barcelona in the next round. It will also be a great opportunity for him to stake his claim as a top player despite his growing age.
