Cristiano Ronaldo fires a clear message to Manchester United as Portugal begins World Cup in style today as they ease past Ghana despite a scoreless first half at Stadium 974 in Doha. With an energetic start to the game, Portugal was quick to exert its dominance.

Portugal went ahead with a solid strike from the spot kick in the second half from the now-former United player to complement their relentless dominance from the first whistle. Ghana did hit back immediately from a sloppy defense for Portugal.

But the Portuguese did not panic and upped their tempo a notch further to increase the speed of their attacking players. Two goals in the space of a few minutes saw Portugal edge closer to a win.
