Manchester United has been facing all sorts of challenges this season, both on and off the pitch, some of which shook the world of football when they happened. A lot of the challenges were tied to the team's star following constant media scrutiny.
Cristiano Ronaldo moved to United last season instead of local rivals Manchester City and had a great first season in his second spell at the club, winning the Player of the Season award at the club after scoring 24 times across all competitions.

Though he was declared as a key part of the new look United after Erik Ten Hag took over in the summer, both pairs failed to work together, with several exposed disagreements and ultimately Ronaldo was let go by the club.
Since leaving United, Ronaldo has been the talking point on several topics which included where his next club despite the Portuguese captain clearly stating that he's focused on his World Cup target with Portugal in Qatar.
With Portugal now in the quarterfinals of the World Cup after their 6-1 mauling of Switzerland in the round-of-16 game all eyes turn to the football legend once more. In a recent post on his social media, Ronaldo appreciates the Portuguese fans' support for the national team and tells them to keep encouraging the team as they progress in the competition.
