Ronaldo's teammate has so much to say about the Portuguese after his exit from Manchester.

So many Manchester United fans are still marveling at the fact that they won't be seeing Cristiano Ronaldo walk onto the pitch at Old Trafford or any of United's away visits. This development is a result of the mutual termination of his contract with the club.

Not only the fans but his teammate as well has been starstruck about the recent turn of events since their last league match at Fulham, which was when it all started. While the majority of his former teammates are not interested in saying anything about his exit, some have been ambushed with questions about him.

His now former club captain, Harry Maguire has now shared some thoughts about his time with the club legend saying that nobody likes to be criticized but he believes it is part and parcel of the game. Maguire's remarks are also from an informed position as he has been under heavy criticism as well.

Maguire went further to praise his former teammate as one of the greatest players to ever kick a football. The pair played a significant role in United's league finish last season despite missing out on their targeted top-four finish.

WHAT DOES MAGUIRE HAVE IN COMMON WITH RONALDO?

Maguire and Ronaldo began playing together for the first time last season after the Portuguese made the switch from Juventus to Manchester and fired the club to 24 goals last season. They were both regular starters for the Red Devils last season before Erik Ten Hag took over during the summer. They became surplus to requirement at the club and Ronaldo subsequently left while Maguire hopes for a space in the team amidst a possible January exit.
