The quest for more quality players at Manchester United continues as the January transfer market draws nearer, just as club actions are set to return in the coming days after a lengthy break due to the ongoing tournament in Qatar.
Manchester United's number one priority in the coming month is reportedly to fill up their weak attacking options following the dismissal of Cristiano Ronaldo just midway into the season after his shocking media interview.
Ten Hag has a genius plan and United is executing it perfectly
He's waiting on Manchester United's call amidst transfer interest
Ronaldo's exit created more problems for Erik Ten Hag and he has recently confirmed his desperation for a new attacker adding that the club is carefully assessing all their options and they'll go all out to sign their decided target.
So far one persistent player linked with a move to Old Trafford is PSV's Cody Gakpo following his great season. The Dutchman was a late interest of United in the summer but they opted against making a bid and are now set to get him this January.
Gakpo's terrific club form transcended to his outing at the World Cup with the Netherlands, which has further increased his market value tremendously from 25 million euros in the past summer. In a recent report, PSV's president stated firmly that they will only sell him for a club record sale in January should any of the interested clubs make a bid for him. Gakpo is rumored to be valued at 60 million euros.
