As England prepare for their first match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar,  many fans back at home are hoping that the Three Lions go the distance this time and bring the World Cup trophy after losing the Euros 2020 trophy to Italy on home soil via penalties.

With the Three Lions set to begin their campaign tomorrow, United legend, Wayne Rooney is talking big about England's chances at this year's Mundial in the middle east. He was quick to back England to win the competition and also added that a current Manchester United player was the one to lead the charge.

Rooney, who's the current manager of DC United in the MLS was very confident in mentioning Rashford as the key to England's success at the tournament. He stated that he expects Rashford to thrive on his newfound form and have a big say in the tournament.

Marcus Rashford was subject to an exit in the summer but things turned around after Ten Hag intervened to block his move. He has since then gone on to impress both the club and its fans with quality performances. Rashford has so far scored eight goals and provided three assists to United course this season.

HOW FAR CAN RASHFORD AND ENGLAND GO AT QATAR?

Although the English team is brimming with talents for several top teams in Europe, their chances at the Mundial are not as high as those of Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and France, who are all prime favorites to win the tournament. Rashford will surely get his chance with England and will be expected to make a great impact for the Three Lions based on his current form.
