Serie A star leaves room for Manchester United after his statement

In the summer last season, Manchester United spent a huge amount of their summer failing to convince Frenkie De Jong to join Manchester United amidst Barcelona's financial crisis which has plagued the club over the last five years and led to Lionel Messi's exit.

Erik Ten Hag picked Frenkie De Jong as his first target and watched as the summer transfer window rapidly ran out, leaving Manchester United to scramble for an alternative choice which saw them sign Casemiro from Real Madrid towards the end of the window.

But prior to signing Casemiro, Manchester United sought to sign former Paris Saint Germain and Juventus star, Adrien Rabiot, to become the integral piece of Ten Hag's new midfield at the club. But things didn't work out fine after both parties couldn't reach an agreement to complete the deal.

Following the failed agreement, United completed the deal for Casemiro and hasn't looked back. But they seem to have gotten some greenlit from the Juventus star following his recent comments about his future with the Serie A giant.

Will Manchester United be moving for Rabiot?

According to Tuttosport, Adrien Rabiot recently said 'there's possibility of leaving, but there is also the possibility of signing another contract with Juventus. I feel good Turin.' The Frenchman currently has three months left on his current deal at Juventus, which has given Manchester United the chance to finally sign him for free.
