Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag wants to drill the team in intense training sessions.

Manchester United are now coming to terms with the demands of Erik Ten Hag's United side as they become more aware and inclined of the little details in his football principles. The press must start from the number nine and be ready to counterattack instantly at every turn.

This philosophy was what helped him dominate the Dutch league with Ajax during his almost four years tenure there, which saw him maintain the same system throughout despite losing a lot of his star players every season there to top European sides including his current club, Manchester United.

With a lot of his first-team players away on international duties till late December when the leagues across Europe and some other parts of the world resume, Ten Hag plans to take up the present opportunity and organize a special training session with the rest of the squad. He has reportedly told the team to be ready to report back to Carrington soon before they jet off to Spain.

The training camp is reportedly going to be in Spain and will include a week-long training before club-friendly matches are played with other teams as he hopes to further instill his style in the team he took over during the past summer after many guarantees.

WHAT IS TEN HAG'S CURRENT INTEREST IN HIS TEAM?

It should come as no surprise that the Dutchman has taken a keen interest in the more youthful players in his squad, Alejandro Garnacho benefitting the most from this. Ten Hag is focused on the individual development of his players as much as their team cohesion, which is why he has sent Jadon Sancho out to the Netherlands for personal training with one of his recommended coaches.
