It didn't take long for Marcus Rashford to do what he does better put United ahead with a Ronaldo-esque type of goal. The England International moved into the central attacking role on the run before driving a powerful shot past Ramsdale to give United the lead.

Arsenal pulled leave just some minutes afterward with a header from Nketiah. The second half took a more dramatic turn when Arsenal took the lead again with a beautiful long-range strike by Saka. Why was Ten Hag furious at Wout Weghorst?

As the game winded down, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag became agitated with the performance of his new striker as he was out of position in most of United transitioning attack which ended up costing them in decisive moments to score goals. Weghorst was more involved in the defensive side of the game for United and rarely offered much in offensive play which frustrated Ten Hag. The game ended 3-2 in favor of the home team.
