When Manchester United signed highly rated manager Erik Ten Hag from Ajax in the summer, it was to earmark the start of a new era for the club fans and leadership as well. An action that many believed will result in a total transformation of the lackluster identity in recent years.
Ten Hag's silky attacking football had taken the Eredivisie by storm as Ajax dominated all the competitions in the Netherlands and also provided some huge shocks with their Champions League performances against the likes of Real Madrid.
United has it back at Cristiano Ronaldo just before Qatar
They want to tarnish his image, this player has offers, even if they say he does not
His core football identity has been built around younger players to maintain his desired game intensity at all times. This quickly led to him having a preferred set of players regularly featured in his starting lineup ahead of other quality players like Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ten Hag at the start of the season benched the legendary goalscorer who scored 24 times last season and was United's top scorer as well in favor of Marcus Rashford. The situation escalated with Ronaldo getting suspended for the first time in his career following a misconduct against Ten Hag's decision in a game and was furthered canned by Ronaldo's recent interview.
Following the recent media interview by Ronaldo, where he called out Ten Hag and accused him of lack of respect which has ignited an uproar within the club. The manager is said to be furious about his actions and has told the board that he wants to continue without the club icon in his team going forward. His request is said to be backed by the board who are now working to dismiss Ronaldo.
