Ten Hag now has Hojlund, the reason it could never get Kolo Muani

Manchester United have been looking to strengthen their squad since the start of the summer, the manager has been able to finalise two signings, first Mason Mount and then Andre Onana, however, pending confirmation of the third the club may have had the option of signing a striker. 

As pre-season draws to a close, Erik Ten Hag is preparing for the final two games of the week before the Premier League kicks off on 14 August, but the manager is still looking to fill more gaps to improve his chances of achieving his goal of winning as many titles as possible.

As we all know one of those positions is the striker, even though Marcus Rashford had an impressive season scoring 30 goals, the coach is looking to add another striker that allows him to make a duo and solve the issue of goals, as Rashford was the only way during the last season; many names have sounded to fill that gap as Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen but both are out of reach of the club.

However, Rasmus Hojlund is about to be presented by the Red Devils, after several negotiations, Atalanta accepted the 72 million euros in the last offer, so the Danish striker is already in Manchester undergoing medical examinations and ready to become the third signing of the season for Ten Hag.

Kolo Muani could have been an alternative for United

The Eintracht Frankfurt striker, is one of the young promises of this market, with only 24 years has become one of the most sought after players on the market, so Manchester United was thinking about contacting the player to start talks, however, could never reach an agreement and the club considered that it was too much what they were asking for the striker, for that reason Ten Hag ended up taking the option of Hojlund.
