Many have been wondering where next would Cristiano Ronaldo play after his exit from Manchester United just a few months into the new season. The Portuguese international had a rocky second season with United before his exit.

Ronaldo arrived at Manchester United for his second spell at the club during the summer of last season to the welcoming hands of Red Devils fans and Premier League lovers. His return created a surge of interest in Man United games as millions around the world religiously followed them.

Cristiano Ronaldo bagged 24 goals for the club last season and also won Manchester United's player of the season award. But that was the last of his happy days at United as thing changes drastically when Erik Ten Hag took over in teh summer.

The Dutchman opted to bench Ronaldo and gave his backing to Marcus Rashford as his top nine. The situation escalated on a few occasions and ultimately his contract was mutually terminated, just days after club season was halted for the duration of the World Cup.

According to reports, Man United manager Erik Ten Hag remains displeased with Ronaldo following his scandalous exit from United and is puzzled why anyone would pay so much for an aging player.
