The current transfer market has not been what was expected for our Manchester United, as the team was preparing to have a busy summer in terms of signing new players, however the situation surrounding the club due to the sale of equipment has generated budgetary uncertainty, so Erik ten Hag would be very interested in the free agent market.

The team has not yet been able to finalize its first signing for next season, and although everything seems to indicate that this could change soon with the imminent arrival of Mason Mount, the rest of the signings look uncertain, as the Glazer family's indecision about the sale of the club, the Dutch tactician does not know how much he will be able to spend to sign players this summer.

That is why the players who will become free agents at the beginning of July have aroused the interest of Erik ten Hag, as they are players for whom the team would not have to pay millions to sign and would only have to reach an agreement in terms of contract.

In that sense, Erik ten Hag has reportedly set his sights on Adrien Rabiot, the 28-year-old French midfielder who played last season for Juventus and whose contract expires on July 1. It's no secret that Rabiot has had trouble staying with a team for years, having fallen out with the PSG board, which led to his departure from the club. However, Rabiot is still a world-class player and his value of 40 million euros, according to the Transfermarkt portal, confirms it.

Rabiot's problems at PSG

Since 2018, it was reported that Adrien Rabiot had problems and discussions with the PSG board due to his refusal at the time for wanting to renew. A year later, a new problem came to light and it was due to Rabiot liking a video in which Patrice Evra was celebrating the elimination of PSG from the Champions League. Finally in 2021 he had a conflict with the father of Kylian Mbappé, due to a match of the French national team.
