The sale of the Manchester United has been one of the most talked about topics during the summer, during these almost two months since the Premier League ended the team took their holidays as every year, some players reported with their national teams and others returned from injuries; however, it was expected that, during this season break, there could be some resolution on the issue, but it seems that it is the opposite.
It has now been 8 months since the Glazer family announced that they would be looking for an alternative with the intention of finding a new owner, during which time there have only been two contenders with real intentions of keeping the club, the first who seemed to be the favourite, the Qatari Sheikh Jassim Al Thani and the British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, both candidates have been very interested in buying the team, in fact, they have even presented their bids.
Each of the contenders has a totally different idea of what to do with United, on the one hand, Sheikh Jassim would seek to have total control and a very strong financial injection that would cover the club's debt, apart from a large budget that would allow the signing of more players and a complete renovation of the facilities, no doubt this offer excited many fans who hoped that the sheikh would keep the club.
On the other side is the billionaire Ratcliffe who would only want a majority share of the team, so he would leave a percentage to the Glazer family, even so, after more than a month that both offers were put on the table, there has not even been a response with which to speculate on any decision, the American family has not spoken to any candidate and all this begins to despair the fans.
During last season Manchester United received news from the Premier League that the sale to add new owners had closed, leaving the Glazers family as owners for the 23/24 season; this has led to speculation that the whole sale of the club has been a novel created by the Glazers with the intention of increasing the value of the team and get out of the debt that has been dragging on.
