Manchester United might have won the game but they've suffered a shocking blow ahead of next round.

The Red Devils were happy to cap their first game return after the season halted to victory in front of their home fans on a cool Wednesday night. The team outclassed their opponents in every aspect of the game to help their chances.

Erik Ten Hag's men didn't seem affected by the halting of the club season as they got back into their rhythm from the blast of the whistle till the referee ended the game. The performance gave fans a reminder of how well the team was playing in recent matches.

Manchester United took the lead via summer signing Christian Eriksen in the first half and doubled the lead in the second half through Marcus Rashford's trick play before driving the ball home. The win sent United into the quarterfinals.

Bruno Fernandes was the captain on the night and marshaled the midfield as best as possible, with a lot of creativity to ensure that they got their desired result. Bruno is part of the United players who recently returned to the club after their World Cup campaign ended.
