Old Trafford has always been one of the most magical and complicated stadiums for any team to visit historically. Going to Manchester meant accepting an almost certain defeat against a supportive crowd and a team that went out to overwhelm at home. Ferguson was one of the architects of contributing to this witchcraft of the Mancunian stadium. However, since the Scot's departure, the Theater of Dreams has become a nightmare.

After the defeat, including a win, against Iraola's Bournemouth last weekend, Manchester United has had 35 defeats in the Premier League at home since 2013, the year in which Sir Alex Ferguson left the Red Devils. This is one more than in 21 seasons with the Scottish legend on the bench.

You have to start well and one hundred percent focused so that everyone is active. It cannot happen that the opponents are hungrier than us, explained the Dutch coach after the tough win against Bournemouth at home that meant surpassing that negative 'record' of the Fergie era.

The problem has become much more aggravated this season in which United have lost seven games in all competitions at home. Exactly the same ones he lost. That loss of magic is a true reflection of the decline that the Manchester team is experiencing. On his bench there are coaches like Mourinho, Van Gaal, David Moyes, Solskjaer, Giggs, Carrick, Ragnick and now Ten Hag. None of them have been able to make us forget, much less match Ferguson's numbers.

Only three worse teams in Europe

Those seven defeats at home join the five they have suffered as visitors, making a total of 12 in all competitions this season. In all of Europe, there are only three teams that have lost more than the Red Devils and they are all in decline in their respective leagues. Almería, Burnley and Union Berlin.
