David de Gea is set to get his new contract with Manchester United really soon, in fact sources close to the team says that only minor details are missing to make sure he stays for at least one more year.

The fact that he is getting his contract renewed with the red devils does not mean that he is going to be the starting goalkeeper for the whole season, Erik ten Hag is already looking for a player that can competer for the position in the next season and eventually become the future goalkeeper for the team, and this player is pushing to do just that.

David Raya is the current goalkeeper for Brentford and when the interest from Manchester United started to raise to sign him he decided to tell his current team to accept any offer from the red devils, the team is ready to let him go but they are keen on getting at least 40 million euros for the player, an amount that Manchester United could actually consider to pay.

The 27 year old keeper from Spain wants to play at Manchester United and he is really pushing his team to accept the offer, in fact, news have arrived confirming that the team is already looking to sign his replacement and when the time comes and he leaves the team they already have another player for the position.

David Raya performance this season

This season with Brentford he has played a total of 35 matches in the Premier League out of 36, and he has allowed a total of 45 goals but he also has keep a clean sheet for 11 games this season, with those numbers one can assume that with a better team he might be able to bring the goals allowed down.
