In recent seasons, whenever Manchester United want a player they go all out to sign the said player, some of whom have delivered and so much for other. Not a lot of these players have delivered on their investment but their quite a number of them who have mesmerized United fans both home and away with their dazzling display and statement performance for their price tag.

The two popular Portuguese in the United dressing room, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes have been the catalysts to United's season and bright days in the last two seasons. Most especially the Portuguese playmaker who has been a key player since joining United in the January of 2020, with an impressive eight goals and seven assists in the second half of the 2019/20 season.

The real reason why this huge star joined Manchester United,  wasn’t because of Cristiano

The bigger the occasion the more Ronaldo relishes it and wants to succeed

He has gone on to build on that with over 18 goals and 18 assists in the next season, thereby winning United's player of the season. His impressive performance made him an instant fan favorite with many United supporters buying his famous number 8 jersey to show their support. But sadly that has not been the case for the playmaking maestro under new manager Erik Ten Hag.

The Portuguese star has been a shadow of his prolific and flamboyant self despite his 12 appearances in the Premier League this season, registering only two goals and an assist. He has created many big chances despite his growing number of games with only 5 from 12 games. Bruno's current form has had a lot of fans worried as to why that may be especially under an attacking manager like Ten Hag.

HAS BRUNO RUN OUT OF GAS?

His electric first three seasons in the Premier League certainly created loads of beautiful memories for United fans as he was relentless in pushing the club to where they belonged on the table. A run that saw him score 36 goals and provide numerous assists. His lack of creative output this season has certainly been a huge concern for Ten Hag, who will be grilling his coaches to find a way for the Portuguese player to get back to his best form.
