The 2022-2023 season could mark the beginning of a resurgence for Manchester United, because although the team could only win the English Cup trophy, it managed to finish in the top four of the Premier League and thus qualify for the next Champions League. In order to compete at the highest level next season, Erik ten Hag has his sights set on several players to reinforce the squad and one of them is Napoli's South Korean defender Kim Min Jae.

According to several reports, the Red Devils are set to be one of the teams with the most moves in the transfer window that begins in less than two weeks in England. However, there is concern among the coaching staff that they do not know how much money they will have to make the transfers they want this summer.

Erik ten Hag and Manchester United have put Harry Kane as their top priority for the transfer window that starts on June 14 in England, however his high price and the interest of Real Madrid could slow down the arrival of the English striker at Old Trafford, so the Dutch tactician would also be considering reinforcing other areas of the field, such as the defense.

In that sense, everything seems to indicate that Erik ten Hag has under his radar the Napoli central defender Kim Min Jae, who has just won the Serie A with Napoli, being a key player in the scheme of the Italian team. However, budget uncertainty could complicate the transfer of the 26-year-old South Korean defender, for whom Manchester United would have to pay a high price.

How much would Manchester United have to pay for Kim Min Jae?

Kim Min Jae is one of the key pieces in Napoli's project for next season, so the Italian league champion team has no intention of selling him, however the defender's contract would have a clause of 50 million euros that will only be activated between July 1 and 15, so if Manchester United wants to buy him they will have to pay that amount.
