Manchester United fans gave Lisandro Martinez beautiful welcome reception after he brought home his World Cup winners medal to the Threatre of Dream. It was an occasion like no other for a player that joined the club in the summer.
Lisandro Martinez was a key part of the Ajax team that Erik Ten Hag built at Ajax and made the quick switch to join the Dutch manager at Old Trafford to begin a new adventure. His move was sealed as fast as possible as Ten Hag required him to propel the rebuild at Old Trafford.

Lisandro formed a solid partnership with Raphael Varane at the heart of United's defense as they began to adapt to Ten Hag's demands. His raw defensive prowess and passionate defending that saw him earn the nickname 'the butcher' quickly won over the United fans.
His season took a tremendous turn when he got invited to join Argentina's World Cup squad for Qatar. Martinez went on to play some part as Argentina fought their way to the final of the competition where they beat France on penalties to become champions.
Lisandro Martinez was part of the Manchester derby as the Red Devils beat City 2-1 at home. Following the postmatch, Erik Ten Hag revealed that loved the center-back partnership between Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw. He hinted that fans could see more of it as the season continues which signaled a piece of terrible news for Lisandro as his position comes under threat.
