Weghorst missed a beautiful moment in the game as his attempt hits the woodwork. It was a frustrating night for him, and he was subbed off by Erik Ten Hag for the returning Anthony Martial. The French striker took charge of his opportunity and put in a great cameo.

Martial has struggled with fitness in recent months, coming in and out of the first team which played a part in United's decision to sign Wout Weghorst. Martial was given time off to work on his fitness in recent weeks while Weghorst lead the line for Manchester United.

What bad news had Weghorst received?

Wout Weghorst seems to have been hit with Erik Ten Hag's recent comments about his rival Anthony Martial ahead of the Palace game. Ten Hag reportedly made exciting remarks about Martial saying that you see a different Manchester United whenever Martial is it. The French striker could start against Crystal Palace ahead of Weghorst.
