As the Premier League countdown to the last run of games before the World Cup begins, several Manchester United players are set to join the England setup, under Gareth Southgate as they prepare for the showpiece. A lot of competition for a spot on the team is already ongoing with the performance of several players at their different clubs.

Manchester United also possess several regular national team players, with some of them playing for the Red Devils under manager Erik Ten Hag. Although not all of them have had a consistent feature under the Dutch manager, they are nonetheless regarded as a crucial part of the Ten Hag plan to return United to their illustrious glory days.

Club captain Harry Maguire is expected to make the list for the England call-up despite a limited number of appearances so far under his club manager. The injury to Raphael Varane has potentially paved the way for the English man to get back his start shirt at United. In-form Marcus Rashford will certainly be called up along with Luke Shaw and Jadon Sancho, despite his current form.

United fans are excited about their player's opportunity to make the World Cup list and will be hoping the Three Lions impress this time around after their most recent heartbreak at the Euro 2021 final on home soil, which saw Italy win the tournament. Ten Hag will have to worry about providing these players with enough game time to keep them fit while getting much-needed results in the coming games.

Gareth Southgate will certainly have a lot of talents to choose his final World Cup list from across all the direct positions on the football pitch. There's a bit of guarantee for these four United players as they've been consistent features in Gareth Southgate's tactical setup for England and will be hoping that it remains the same when the list is decided.
