As we World Cup takes center stage, the crisis at United gradually fades off media spaces and discussion as the club continues to internal its legal options against Cristiano Ronaldo for his media interview. The star player recently expose a series of internal club affairs to the media which caused a lot of uproar in the football World.

United's manager Erik Ten Hag came under heavy scrutiny from Ronaldo for his attitude and treatment towards the star player who was United's top scorer last season with 24 goals across all season. He went on to win United's player of the season as well.

Ronaldo's media interview raised a lot of eyebrows and concerns as many questioned the timing of the interview because it was released shortly after United's latest win against Fulham in the EPL. A move that is speculated to have been well thought out by the Portuguese and his camp before it was made.

The timeliness of the interview coincides with the halting of club seasons across Europe for the World Cup which meant that all United called-up stars are away on international duties and inaccessible to the club during that period barring their national teams' progression in the competition.

Ronaldo dismissed the speculation surrounding the timing of the interview stating that timing is always timing while adding that it is easy to view how timing can be chosen from the angle of the media since they sometimes tell the truth. The Portuguese reiterated that he doesn't care what others think and decide to talk whenever he feels like it.
