Manchester United are currently fifth in Premier League after a decent run under new manager Erik Ten Hag but their total performance has been as lucrative on the pitch as it seems on paper. The Red Devils side has found it hard to create chances in the game talkless of scoring goals.

They sit fifth on the table with 20 goals scored and 20 conceded from just fifteen matches so far, making the worst attacking side in the table's top six. Even sixth-place Liverpool has scored more goals than them which is down to the poor form of their playmaker.

Bruno Fernandes was expected to be leading the creative spark for the Manchester club but he struggle for months until United's last two games before the season was halted for the World Cup in Qatar. He scored once and provide an assist to mark the pause to the season for Erik Ten Hag's men.

Just after that, the Portuguese playmaker was called up to the national team for the World Cup with Portugal. In their recent 4-0 win over West African giants, Nigeria, Bruno Fernandes was at the heart of it, scoring twice on the day. His goals went on to complement Portugal's World Cup preparation.

HOW DID HE REDISCOVER HIS FINE FORM?

The Portuguese playmaker was forced to serve an automatic one-match ban for picking up five yellow cards, which say United lost to Aston Villa 3-1, with no United player scoring on the day. The suspension felt like a much-needed break for Bruno who instantly hit form on his return to the first team when they played Villa at Old Trafford in the EFL Cup. He marshaled United to a 4-2 win.
