Manchester United had their own meltdown against Sevilla in the Europa League when they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2, but that was not repeated at Nottingham Forest. Those from Manchester managed to settle in third position in the general table, thanks to goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot.

Leading 1-0 thanks to Anthony's goal on 32 minutes, Erik ten Hag's side turned up the pressure on relegation-battling Forest, sealing a 2-0 win through Diogo Dalot at the 76'. Erik Ten Hag's team recovered the Premier mode, the one that has propelled them in the local competition and has settled them in the top four, in the Champions League area.

Displaced from the title race by the speed gained weeks ago by Arsenal and Manchester City, United hold their own heads-up with Newcastle for third place. The win saw United take the lead in the race to qualify for the next Champions League after defeats to rivals Newcastle and Tottenham. United moved up to third place, three points ahead of the Magpies.

While Anthony scored one goal and provided the assist for another, the return of Christian Eriksen for his first start since spraining his ankle in January was a timely boost for Ten Hag as United's injuries mount.

Who are the injured at United?

Marcel Sabitzer withdrew late after picking up an injury while warming up at the City Ground. The Austrian midfielder on loan joins Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw on United's list of key absences. Eriksen only started due to Sabitzer's injury, but it seemed he had never had a classy performance in the heart of midfield.
