The red devils are looking to get the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe to the team, but the fact is that this could really affect the team in the european competitions.

Manchester United fans think that the Glazers might make a decision that would allow the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe to the team by accepting his offer to buy 25% of the team, but the fact is that this could complicate the future of the red devils in any of the european competitions, and this could actually stop the deal from happening in the next dew days or months.

It was a known fact that the red devils had the problem that they might not be able to compete in the Champions League with the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the reason being that he is also the owner of the OG Nice team in France, and now UEFA has confirmed this situation and that could complicate the deal to actually go ahead and happen in the next months.

“As the rules stand, it’s a clear situation. INEOS own Nice and are set to have a significant role in running Man United. Unless the regulations are changed, or INEOS sell one of their stakes, they cannot both play in European competitions, unless one is in the Champions league and the other in the Conference League.” was the official statement from UEFA on the situation.

Now it seems that the red devils current owners could need to think about the situation of the team before they actually go ahead and accept any offer, because it could be really complicated for the team to accept an offer that would force them to chose every single season which team could go to the Champions League and which can not.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe plan

In fact this was the same reason why Sir Jim Ratcliffe was not able to complete his plan of own 100% of the red devils in the next 5 years, because he knows that UEFA would not allow for that to happen and that could complicate his future now.
