Manchester united are set to reignite their bid to sign top European talent with double figures in goal and assist so far this season after narrowly missing out on him in the summer. United had explore the possibility of brining in any additional left sided winger to provide more attacking threat and goals to a lacksture attack that failed to deliver several times last seasons.

United under Ten Hag's request entered the race for the high sought after 23 years old PSV Eindhoven Captain, Cody Gakpo late on the transfer window, after turned down the offers to join Leeds United and Southampton earlier in the summer in favor of a top team offer. He subsequently decided to announce his decision to stay at PSV for more season, throwing a spanner in United's  late move.

The stocks of Gakpo has certainly risen more for a player of his calibre. The subpar performance of Jadon Sancho is believed to be an added incentive to why United will be looking for a January coop of the dazzling winger to give Erik Ten Hag more quality options to choose from as the season progresses.
