Manchester United wrapped up their summer preseason activities with an assurance that they have all they needed to compete across all competitions this season from their defense to midfield and attack, which were all fully complemented with new signings.
New manager Erik Ten Hag got to work immediately and shrugged off a shaky start to their season with a lot of gritty and nervy results against top-six oppositions, in an unbeaten run of games before their season form was halted by the commencement of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The good run was majorly fuelled by the standout performances of Marcus Rashford, who seem to have found in confidence in front of goal once again after having a summer exit blocked off by the board and his new manager Erik Ten Hag.
But other attackers haven't been consistent in finishing off the little chances that they created and Ronaldo's midseason dismissal from the club following his chaotic media interview has left United drastically short in attacking firepower as they look to the market for a solution.
Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag are said to have identified PSV Eindhoven club captain, Cody Gakpo as their top target. The 23 years old Dutch international is having the season of his life with over 30 goal contributions in just the first half of the season. According to new reports, United are reportedly unsure if they pay a large sum in January for the Gakpo or seek a short-term fix via loan while they go for Gakpo in the summer.
