Earlier in the summer, Chelsea FC was the subject to takeover talks as United worked on completing Erik Ten Hag's signing from Ajax, after his wonderful time with the Dutch giant. The blues sale was eventually completed and a new owner was at the helm of affairs, a situation that United fans never thought would happen to their club.

But sadly almost midway into the season, United fans were stunned and celebratory at the official statement that stated that the Glazers were ready to sell. Their decision to sell came shortly after the club decide to part ways with one of their club legends.

Cristiano Ronaldo a few weeks back conducted a media interview in which he blasted the club owners' poor vision for the club and their unclear pathway to make United great again, adding that they were lacking innovations expected of an elite club.

The media interview caused rage on social media and also angered the club, which then decided to terminate Ronaldo's contract without pay. The Glazers who have been in sole charge of United for the past 17 years finally decided to part ways with their ownership of the club.

WHAT SHOULD FANS EXPECT FROM THE TAKEOVER?

Since the announcement, several top brands and billionaires have been linked with interest in purchasing the illustrious football club. While talks are underway about the change of ownership, United fans are reportedly excited that the new owners will want to buy new players which means that United could have back-to-back summers of big transfer budgets, much to the delight of Ten Hag as well.
