With just ninety minutes of football away from their first final since 2017, there's a budding excitement and level of expectation among the Red Devils fans. The club had last tasted a trophy win in 2017 under the special one, Jose Mourinho.
When the club started their rebuilding in the summer with the signing of Erik Ten Hag as their new manager, it was not expected that they'll be in a position to possibly compete for a trophy this season. But they are now very close to achieving that success.

Manchester United receives huge Carabao Cup boost ahead of game
The Red Devils cruised past championship club Reading FC 3-1 in their latest FA Cup game at Old Trafford last week. Goals for summer signing Casemiro put United in a comfortable position before Fred added a third on the day and Reading grabbed a consolation goal late on.
Prior to that, United had beaten exciting Nottingham Forest 3-0 away from home in their Carabao Cup semifinal first. The victory has almost guaranteed United a slot in the Carabao Cup final but still has to avoid any upset in the second leg later tonight at Old Trafford.
In the latest presser ahead of the game, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has declared that his team wants to win the Carabao Cup because that's what they are meant to do. He added previously confirmed that Sancho and Anthony Martial are in line to star in tonight's game.
