United finally answer De Gea's request as talks get underway

The Red Devils fans were bracing themselves for the shocking possibility regarding the future of several of their players after this season with Manchester United. The club made a massive clearout during the summer in a similar situation.

The major reason was down to no contract renewal, which is an ongoing situation with some of the current players for this campaign. The club had remained silent about any offer talks for more, which put a lot of people in a worried state.

David De Gea sat pretty at the top of that list since the summer transfer market, as United failed to initiate talks with their number one goalie since 2011. Even with the back of Erik Ten Hag who loaned out Dean Henderson to reassure De Gea about  his value to the team, wasn't comforting enough for him.
