Manchester United has decided to put the foot down regarding the amount of money that they are willing to pay in order to sign David Raya.

David de Gea future is still in the air with Manchester United, some sources believe that he has already signed the contract that will keep him with the red devils for at least another season and some others sources believe that he is ready to leave the club as soon as he gets the right offer from Saudi Arabia.

The truth is that it does not matter if David de Gea stays with Manchester United, the team is still looking for another keeper that could take the starting position right away, and one of the keepers at the top of the list is David Raya, he currenly plays for Brentford and he is one of the main options to reinforce the goal.

Now, despite the fact that Manchester United are interested in signing Raya, and that Tottenham could also be looking to sign him, both teams are reluctant to pay the 40 million euros fee that Brentford are demanding to get rid of Raya in the next season, there has been some contact between the teams but the price could be an issue to complete the transfer.

Manchester United budget

The fact is that David Raya is not the top target for the goal of Manchester United, but the budget that the team has could make it that he is now the top option, especially because the red devils believe that they could sign Raya for 25 million euros at the most, and that amount is something that they would actually consider to pay in order to finally replace De Gea.
