The Red Devils fans have certainly had a gutted feeling after a large number of their star players crashed out of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in the knockout stages of the competition, especially after their great performances with their national teams.

There were 14 Manchester United players who got the invitation to participate in the Mundial in Qatar as top countries all battled it out for the World Cup titles. There was budding excitement and tearful celebration when the players got their calls.

It was no surprise that United's most in-form player prior thus far in this campaign also got his World Cup invitation to the Three Lions squad along with Luke Shaw and club captain Harry Maguire as England hopes to heal their Euros heartbreak with the World Cup title.

Rashford did not disappoint in Qatar and was dominating England's top scorer list in the competition just like has been doing all season at Manchester United. The Englishman scored thrice at the World including a beautiful freekick.

WHAT HAPPENED TO RASHFORD AND HOW DOES HE PLAN TO RECOVER?

Sadly Marcus Rashford and England were knocked out of the World Cup in the quarterfinal round against reigning world champions France. Rashford was heartbroken about the entire outcome as the Three Lions failed on their set objectives. It is reported that the England striker plans to use his national team's disappointment as motivation to do whatever takes to help Manchester United achieve their targets this  season which will also heal his broken heart.
