It was such an emotional day for football fans as he go to play again at an international tournament.

Euros 2020 lived up to its billing as a talent-rich competition, with so many spectacular moments to remember as emotions were poured out and soaked up by fans and players alike. But there were very tough moments and scenes as well during the competition.

A current United star had a tough moment at the last Euros that spooked the world while representing his national team on home soil during the competition. Denmark's Christian Eriksen broke down awkwardly on the pitch and required extensive attention from the medical team.

The incident subsequently ruled him out of the rest of the competition and almost out of football as well but he recovered with the best care and has gone to playing regular football again. He had a brief stint at Brentford last season and joined United this season.

Eriksen's rise to form and regular game time in the last nine months helped him earn his return to the Danish national for the ongoing FIFA world cup. He made his comeback in Denmark's goalless draw against Tunisia earlier today as they open their campaign in Qatar.

HOW HAS ERIKSEN PERFORMED SO FAR FOR UNITED?

Eriksen is a proven Premier League player from his time at North London with Tottenham and his brief return at Brentford. He complements his over 300 appearances for Spurs with 69 goals and 90 assists across the competition and is one of a few players with a unique understanding of the football. He has currently shipped in six assists for United so far this season.
