Manchester United has been involved with a lot of signing this season as the club begins a new era with Erik Ten Hag in charge of leading the project. The board was very financially vocal in reassuring Erik Ten Hag that he has their unwavering support.
United forked out over 200 million euros in transfer fees to help Ten Hag acquire a number of his desired target to begin his reign at United. The moves include; Casemiro from Real Madrid, Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony from Ajax.

The signing of Casemiro came out of the blues as United had spent virtually their entire summer trying to convince Frenkie De Jong to leave cash-stripped FC Barcelona and rejoin his former manager at Old Trafford at the base of their midfield.
Ultimately United failed and scrambled quickly to sign Casemiro, who was very much ready for a new adventure. The failed transfer has not forced United to yield their interest in De Jong as they are closely following his situation at Barca.
The 25-year-old midfielder is currently playing at the World Cup with the Netherlands and has been in great form as well by creating chances for his team. In a recent interview, De Jong reportedly downplayed any talks of him leaving back and reiterate that he's happy at Barca and only focused on the World campaign at the moment.
