While Manchester United fans remain jubilant about the performances of their red devil players in the middle east, the club's board has their attention away from their place but on two key names that have been on their transfer list for some time now as they ponder ahead.
United manager, Erik Ten Hag and the club have been in close communication since he joined in the summer about who their targets are and were able to close a few deals during the summer that saw them bring in Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Casemiro and others.

Ronaldo wants final silverware amidst United's brooding action
Now, as the club looks forward to the coming windows, their attention has been captured by two players who have had a fantastic start to their World Cup campaign with their national teams. 19-year-old Jude Bellingham scored on his World Cup debut as England thrash Iran 6-2 yesterday while Frenkie De Jong set up Netherlands' opener against Senegal which ended 2-0.
De Jong was United's primary target for much of the summer, as they sort to pounce on Barcelona's financial struggles but he consistently refused to discuss a move to Old Trafford. United subsequently signed Casemiro instead. While Bellingham has significantly transitioned into one of the leaders at Borussia Dortmund, captaining the team on several occasions despite his tender age.
Both players were initially priced at world-record fees at the start of the season but their impressive performance so far this season will surely boost their respective price tags. According to TransferMarkt, Jude Bellingham is valued at 100 million euros and could cost more, should his performance further improve at the World Cup and the rest of the season. While De Jong who is valued at 50 million by TransferMarkt could cost a whole lot more.
