Manchester United fans and football fans around the world all have their eyes set on the final game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which was the cause of the halting club season across Europe for the duration of the tournament.
Several Manchester United players earned their call-up to the World Cup to represent their national team at the most illustrious tournament in world football, which was started last month and is now at its concluding game.
Ronaldo wants one last dance with the biggest club in Europe
Fans trusted him but the club did not, which broke his heart
Manchester United players battled it out with their national teams throughout the tournament, with some making it through the group stage to the knockout stages. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Harry Maguire were the leading figures for their teams.
But sadly, the majority of them were knocked out of the competition in the knockout stages with about nine United starts exiting the grandest stage while just two made it all the way to the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Red Devils' center-back pairing of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez made it all the way through to the finals. Varane was close to missing out on the World Cup due to injury but worked his way to fitness in time for the Mundial and has been a regular starter for France in Qatar. He is set to start the final for France while Martinez will start off from the bench for the Argentina team.
