Manchester United have very clear objectives for the start of this new season, the club is trying to put an end to the hegomony that Liverpool and Manchester City have had in recent years; although the team is only just in pre-season games, they have already been making moves that give hope to all the fans.

Erik Ten Hag has been busy trying to reinforce all the weak areas that were seen during the last campaign, for that reason since the transfer window opened, the coach would have been looking for players who could bring a new dynamic to the team and thus be able to have a competitive squad that can fight for all the trophies that are going to be disputed.

The first signing Ten Hag made this summer was Mason Mount, the midfielder was always keen to come to Old Trafford, however, the manager was looking for a player who could play in attack, but also have defensive sacrifice, although United already have great players in midfield, the signing of Mount was only a plus that could help them achieve their goals.

The second position most in need of strengthening was goalkeeper, after the departure of De Gea, the club was left without a first choice keeper, so Ten Hag turned to the player he had spent time with at Ajax, André Onana has just joined United in the hope of being better than the Spanish keeper; besides that the manager wants to emulate the success Guardiola and Klopp have had with a goalkeeper who handles the ball well with his feet, which is why Onana was the top choice from the start.

United lack a striker

Erik Ten Hag has already covered two important positions, however, in order for him to win the Premier League title, he must provide Marcus Rashford with a partner, which is why the club is already looking at the alternatives on the market and there is talk that Rasmus Hojlund could be the right man for the attack.
