Manchester United is still in a dilemma with Sofyan Amrabat. The potential signing of the Moroccan midfielder has been dragging on, and with just a few days left until the transfer deadline, the situation doesn't seem to be fully resolved yet.
Having been separated from the first team at Fiorentina, it appears that Amrabat's departure is imminent. It seems that the player's demands haven't been well received by ‘The Viola’. As a result, the Atlas Lion Star is hoping for a move before the transfer window closes.
According to Sky Sports, Fiorentina's chief executive confirmed that Sofyan was training apart from the squad. However, he stated they hadn't received any offers during the summer for Amrabat. Currently, the path seems clear for the midfielder to make a move.
Erik ten Hag's urgency to reinforce Manchester United's midfield has become a priority. The Dutch coach isn't entirely convinced with Mason Mount. With this said, Ten Hag’s is seeking defensive-minded midfielder like Amrabat to support Casemiro.
At the moment, the only defensive midfielder option in the team is Christian Eriksen, who hasn't been performing well overall.
