Manchester United were able to close the transfer window very strongly, as they were able to cover the positions that needed the most help, with the best players available, so it is hoped that this can help to improve the team's performance, which, despite achieving good results, has not been able to show the full potential of the squad.

One of the positions that was reinforced the most was the midfield, because from the beginning Ten Hag wanted to give help to the midfielders who were already in the team, so that they could combine with a player who would understand the system of play and give another dimension to the position, so the coach decided that Mason Mount would be his first signing of the summer focusing on that position.

However, one of the players they were previously looking for was Moises Caicedo, as the Ecuadorian had a magnificent season with Brighton and that could open the door for several European clubs to be interested in him, including the Red Devils who at some point were asking for his value, but due to the high valuation he had it was practically impossible to try to make an offer that would allow them to compete against the other teams.

Even so, Ten Hag did not give up on getting a second midfield reinforcement and it was there that on the last day of the transfer window they were able to secure Sofyan Amrabat, with whom they had already had all the personal terms agreed but only lacked an official offer for the Moroccan to arrive at Old Trafford

Amrabat's value compared to Chelsea's signings

Both Manchester United and Chelsea had the approach to strengthen the midfield, as the Blues signed Moises Caicedo for €116 million and Enzo Fernandez for €121 million, while the Red Devils signed Sofyan Amrabat on loan for just €10 million with an option to buy, plus the Moroccan has shown his love for the club, so it is expected that his performance will be much better compared to the other signings, so only time will tell who was right.
