Cristiano Ronaldo claimed money was not his motivation for play during his scandalous media interview late last year but eventually accepted a multimillion euros contract offer from Saudi Arabia just weeks after leaving Manchester United.
The former Red Devils will reportedly earn a guaranteed 75 million euros per year, which could rise to as high as 200 million euros per year via added incentives in his contract. The deal makes him the highs earning athlete by a huge mile when compared to Mbappe and Messi's mega deals at PSG.

Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from Manchester United was partly expected after his scandalous interview that which he berated his then-manager Erik Ten Hag, and the club owners, amongst other things. The interview broke the last piece that was holding his strained relationship with the club.
Many believe that the interview was set up for Ronaldo to force out his move from United after following down the pecking order since Erik Ten Hag took over as the club's manager in the summer. The Dutchman made the move from Ajax after his three-year stay with the club.
Following Ronaldo's exit, Ten Hag's decided to focus more on guiding the youngsters at the club to become key players in his team. The Dutchman plans to groom Alejandro Garnacho, and Facundo Pellistri into becoming United stars following his dazzling cameo.
