The search for a striker continues, with the lack of goal for Manchester United in the recent matches it seems the most important position to reinforce, and Benzema could be the player to do so.

Despite the fact that he is a 35 year old striker, Karim Benzema has managed to become a key player for Real Madrid, scoring goals and assisting other players, and with a lot of talent still left in the tank he could become the next striker for Manchester United.

The recent Ballon d'Or winner has less than two months left in his contract with Real Madrid, and he could become a free player for the next transfer window, because it seems that the spanish team is already looking for a replacement that can play in that position and be the new starting player.

The French striker has a salary of 13 million euros a year, but with the age that he was he might be able to accept a salary downgrade and starting earning a little less from his salary, so if he signs for Manchester United he could be charging less than Maguire, one of the worst players in the team.

Karim Benzema and his options

Benzema has said that he would like to retire from football with Real Madrid, but right now he seems to be left out of any future plans, so if he wants to keep playing soccer at the highest level he might need to move to another team, and with a project that wants and need a striker he could arrive at Manchester United with the promise of being the starting player for the team.
