Chelsea is looking to sign Portugal’s all-time goal scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in the January transfer window. The still-playing football legend has spent most parts of the last four months under new United manager, Erik Ten Hag as a part bit to the new setup, much to his displeasure. The relationship between Ronaldo and his new manager has been tricky, with his last five features in the Premier league being as a substitute.

The blues have had their eyes set on the prolific goal machine since the start of successful completion of Todd Boehly, who has been looking to make a statement attacking signing to begin his rein as new Chelsea owner. Tuchel disapproved of Ronaldo’s approach in the summer much to Boehly’s displeasure, which was one of several reasons that led to his eventually sacking by the new owners.

Ronaldo was believed to have been in discussion with several clubs over the course of the summer but no move materializes in the end, leaving him to settle for Europa League football rather than his much preferred and loved Champions league. The prospects of a switch to London were much considered but eventually canceled with Chelsea signing former Arsenal Captain Pierre Emrick Aubameyang on deadline day.

With the Blues under new manager Graham Potter, all cards point to their chase for the unhappy Ronaldo, with a lucrative Champions League football on the negotiation table to pull him in. At the current age of 38 years, many still believe that Mr. Champions league still has so much to offer at the biggest clubs and biggest stage of club football. This is a point Chelsea will be looking to prove by signing Cristiano Ronaldo in January.

WILL RONALDO CROSSOVER OVER TO LONDON?

Well, all information points to that direction now especially the most recent fallout between Ronaldo and Erik Ten Hag in United’s win over Tottenham Hotspur, where he refused to come on as a late sub in the game. Only time will tell if this move will happen.
