The 2022-2023 season ended in painful fashion after the FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City, where Erik ten Hag ended up realizing that he urgently needs to strengthen the squad if he wants to take Manchester United back to the top of the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag's priority in the upcoming transfer window is to sign a world-class center forward, because although Marcus Rashford proved that he can be a reliable and prolific striker, it will not be enough if we want to get back to the top of the Premier League and compete against the best teams in Europe in the Champions League.

To achieve this, ten Hag wanted to sign Harry Kane, the Tottenham striker who scored 30 Premier League goals last season and whom the Manchester United boss saw as the key player in the Red Devils' project. However, the Spurs board said they would not sell their captain for any price this summer, making Kane's arrival impossible in the immediate future.

That is why Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff have made a list of possible reinforcements that could be affordable for the club and that would provide a large amount of goals ahead of a season in which Manchester United will compete to return to the place that historically belongs to them. Among the names that have been discussed is that of 24-year-old French striker Randal Kolo Muani.

Kolo Muani's numbers

Randal Kolo Muani had a truly fantastic 2022-2023 season. He managed to reach the final of the World Cup with the French national team in Qatar 2022, also with Eintracht Frankfurt he reached the round of 16 of the Champions League and scored a total of 23 goals in all competitions with the German club.
