Surprisingly Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't hit the ground running as expected in with Al Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia after he made the move. The Portuguese International signed a record-breaking two-and-a-half-year deal with Saudi Club in early January.
His unveiling ceremony was reportedly viewed by over three billion persons around the world, more than even the highly entertaining 2022 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France in Qatar last December. It was an unprecedented milestone for the middle east.
Manchester erupts following deadline day action, United fans react
Ten Hag gives United fans great news ahead of the big game at Old Trafford
But prior to signing for Al Nassr FC, Cristiano Ronaldo exited Manchester United in November after his contract was mutually terminated by the club with just seven months left in the deal. Ronaldo's exit was subject to his scandalous media interview that saw him berate the club, Erik Ten Hag, the board as well as the owners.
His actions caught many by surprise including his teammates who were reportedly displeased. The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and even Raphael Varane have moved on with their focus on helping United achieve success this season under Erik Ten Hag.
Following Ronaldo's exit, Manchester United has continued to pick up top results with Bruno Fernandes leading the charge. The Red Devils are now one game away from their first final in ages, which Ronaldo would be missing out on. Bruno Fernandes's goal against Nottingham Forest gave United a massive advantage ahead of the second-leg game later today. Ronaldo's last Carabao Cup final with under was under Sir Alex Ferguson in 2009 against Tottenham which they won.
