Dean Henderson wanted to leave Manchester United, but at this point he could be forced to stay with the team for the next season.

The fact is that Dean Henderson wanted to make sure that he had a new team in the next transfer window, and now it seems that there could be some situations that could force him to stay with the red devils.

Dean Henderson was looking to arrive to a new team that would allow him to have a lot more playing time in the next season, and despite the fact that there was a lot of interest from the Nottingham Forest to make the deal happen, now that the transfer window could end in just three weeks, the keeper would need to stay with the red devils.

First the fact is that Manchester United was open to let Dean Henderson leave the team in this transfer window, but the fact is that they wanted to sell him and they where expecting to get at least 20 million euros for the keeper, but the Forest team intentions was to get him on a loan deal, and that could have complicated the negotiations between both of them.

On top of that the injury that Dean Henderson suffered himself was another impasse on the deal to actually happen, with the keeper unable to present a medical exam to his new team they where not ready to risk him not being fit, and on top of that the Tom Heaton injury left the red devils wondering if they should let him leave the team.

Dean Henderson future

And now it has been reported by “The Athletic” that Dean Henderson would be forced to stay with Manchester United at least for the next season, and that might change if the red devils sign a new keeper, but if they are unable to do so, they would count on him to be the back up keeper.
